Petronas President was asked to resign

The MTEM, Malay Economic Action Council had asked Petronas President, Datuk Shamsul Azhar to resign. MTEM said that petronas has been awarding big contract to foreign companies when a qualified local companies are available to do the jobs.

It was not mentioned what the jobs were and who were awarded. It is not clear whether it has to do with petron, the newly established rings of petrol stations.

MTEM represents a group of 47 Malay business groups said that the demand for the resignation was still remain despite the pledge by the management to look at the matter.

This news is new, I have not heard about this when Petronas was under the earlier chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Merican .
