Accused of Throwing Fire Crackers onto Bersih were Cops

It was reported in the Star that the person caught accused of throwing the fire crackers was actually cop. The Bersih Steering Committee claimed that the man who hauled fire crackers along Jalan Tuanku A Rahman was carrying cops identity card.

Fire at Police HQ Bukit Aman

As reported on 30 July, a fire had broke out at the highly secured building of Malaysia Police HQ. Prior to this. the country had been struggling with the IMDB issues. 1MDB is a company set up by the government to carry out investment. However it turned out to a company with high liabilities.

The DPM was sacked, the Attorney General was sacked and the The Public Account Committes was stopped from functioning.

Ex PM of Korea Headed to Jail

The Supreme Court of South Korea uphold the conviction of the first female PM of Korea for accepting illicit political donation.

Han Myeong received equivalent of RM 3.2mil in 2010 in her unsuccessful bid to secure the party's presidential nomination.

She denied receiving the money, and pleaded innocent.

Invitation for Najib was Cancelled - Semporna UMNO

The head of Semporna UMNO said that the invitation for the Annual General Meeting was cancelled. The Division chief, Shafie Apdal,  confirmed this.

Shafie was one of the few ministers that was dropped with the cabinet reshuffle.  The paper quoted that the removal " for raising questions over 1MDB issues".

Johor MB tell UMNO members to speak up

It was reported in the Star that th current Johor MB told the UMNO members to speak up. "UMNO struggle is about the people. Never about the interest of certain individual."

The people must speak when corruption becomes a culture or if people's trust are being betrayed"

UMNO does not belong to any one leaders, but belong to all of us".

MACC SAID THE RM2.6BIL NOT FROM 1MDB

The 1MDB crisis had taken its tolls,
- The DPM was sacked.
- The Public Prosecutor was sacked.
- The MACC Deputy Director was sacked.

The offices of the Prosecutor and The MACC boss were ransacked.

Then there was a fire that broke at the Police's HQ Seri Aman.

Then as expected, here came the announcement, the cash of RM 2.6bil was not from 1MDB, t actually came from donors. I thought that there will be the denial of receiving the money.

The taskforce had collected documents from 1MDB office to check on the allegation as published by WSJ that about 2.6bil of cash had been send Najib's personal Account.

PM told DPM to wait for the outcome in 1MDB

The star on Tue 28 July 2015 reported that PM told his deputy to wait for the outcome of the investigation. This was make, I think in reference to the comment made by DPM in Cheras meeting, which was made public in the Youtube.

MARA Suspended the Top Gun

Further to the saga of the purchases of students hostel in Melbourne, two of MARA top bosses were a relieved of their duties.

MARA chairman and the chief executive officer of Mara Inc were asked to leave. Mara wanted the audit to carry out on all purchases made by Mara Inc, both for Australian and UK..

The two suspended are given in the above excerpt.

MARA Reported to Overpay for Purchases of Property

Last week the Australian daily by A$4.75mil for the purchase of Dudley House Apartment block in Melbourne Australia in 2013.

Now, it is reported that two more properties were acquired using a similar the same method. The total money overpaid is RM66.2mil.

The two other properties are:

1. 51, Queen Street property  in March 2013- overpaid by A$5.35 (RM18mil)  

2. 333, Exhibition Street  - overpay by A$9mil  - Amount paid A$31mil when the price was A$21mil about  month before.

Pay Rise for Terrengganu's ADUN

As reported in the Star, on 15 May 2015, the salary of the Terrengganu state assembly representatives is increased from RM4000 to RM11,000.

 The 32 assemblymen will be benefiting from the announced rise which is made effective from January 2015.

In April 2015,the allowance for MP were increased from RM11,000 to RM 16,00..
