The newspaper on 1 Aug 2012 published the unexpected news, from my memory, this is the first time a minister under the ruling party, Barisan National, had joint the opposition party. Off course the most of the national paper had reported it differently. On headline was... The minister was sacked..
The deputy minister, Lajim, had made the announcement that he had resigned from the UMNO supreme council and Beaufort UMNO division.
Dato Lajim, 57, was elected as an MP in the General Election in 2008, when he defeated the opposition by 10,000 votes.
