Sabah IC issues - Change of Demography

A witness in the RCI said that the influx of immigrants results changes in Sabah's political demography.

The assemblyman for Tamparuli, Datuk seri Wilfred Bumburing said "there were more non Muslim before the influx" "now we have 18 non muslim, 34 majority muslim and 8 chinese seats".

Voters were moved around to change the demographic balance.

Another witness Siti Amirah Abdullah from Registration Department special mobile unit said that 44,426 Malaysia IC was changed to MyKad as of Mar 2013. The record shows that 28,718 received new cards.
